COVID-19 – Food and Financial Resources; Staff Availability

Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak and guidelines from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, UW-Madison, Kenosha County, and federal agencies, our Extension team often works remotely. Extension programs have been transitioned to video conference, when feasible. The Extension, Planning and Development office is open during regular business hours; however, call 262-857-1945 or email uwextension@kenoshacounty.org for more information. Feel free to directly contact Extension educators by using the staff directory at the top of the webpage. COVID-19 Financial Resources

The coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, is impacting households, communities, and businesses. A new national survey shows that 1 in 5 households in the US have already had their income cut or stopped altogether. Extension has created a web site featuring frequently asked questions that highlight some common financial challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The answer to each question has links to government websites and the types of assistance that might be available.

Extension will be adding additional information as new policies and resources are put into place.
