Extension Kenosha County shares in the heartbreak of the tragic and senseless loss of Black lives. The thousands of individuals who have come together to stand up for justice gives us hope that we can end the systemic racism that plagues our communities and our country.
As community educators, we are committed to the values of the Extension organization of community, discovery, inclusiveness, relationships, and respect. These are the values that we hold ourselves accountable to each day, and we strive to be intentional in our efforts to ensure equity, justice and fairness.
“Through our work and actions across Wisconsin we will continue to strive for a society that is free of racism, bigotry, and bias,” as stated by Extension Dean and Director Karl Martin. Extension Kenosha County joins County Executive Jim Kreuser in “pledging [a] personal commitment to listen, empathize, ask questions, understand, and take action to address the Pandemic of Racism in our community and world.”
