2019 Youth Tractor Safety Program

When: June 17 – 21, 2019, 9 AM – 3 PM daily (with the exception of Friday, which ends after testing)
Where: Burlington High School
Cost: $50/participant, includes program supplies and snacks each day
Registration: Complete and return the registration form with a check OR register and pay online.

More information:

  • 24-hour program designed to teach tractor and general farm safety 
  • Open to youth ages 12 to 16
  • Includes both classroom and hands-on driving instruction, culminating in a final written and driving exam
  • Meets the requirements of Wisconsin Act 455, which requires youth under the age of 16 to hold a certificate of training in order to operate a tractor on a public road
  • Meets the child labor requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act, pertaining to the employment of youth ages 14-15 on farms not operated by their parents or guardians
