4-H Archery Project

Project Information:

This project covers the fundamentals of archery safety and target shooting. Members will understand basic archery equipment, shooting form, and scoring. Project requires a $10 participation fee used to maintain our equipment.

Note: Members must be at least 8 years old and in 3rd grade to participate. In order for any member to represent Kenosha County 4-H at any Wisconsin 4-H Shooting Sports event, all archery members must first go through safety certification with the project leader and have a form signed by the project leader or UW-Extension Educator.

In order to participate in the Kenosha County Fair 4-H Archery Shoot, you must attend one of the two safety certifications, pay your project participation fee, and complete the mandatory number of shoots to qualify (usually two shoots).

In order to lead a session, leaders/instructors must complete the Kenosha County 4-H Volunteer Certification Program and then be certified through the Wisconsin Shooting Sports Program, created by the National 4-H Shooting Sports Council.
