4-H Sheep Project

Project Information:

Learn how to select, feed, manage, breed, fit, show, evaluate, and market sheep.

Note: Members must obtain 2 points to be considered a member in good standing. These points can be earned by attending countywide sheep meetings or by showing at another sheep show approved by the project leader.

The Kenosha County Fair requires participants be members in good standing to show or sell animals at the fair. They also require market lambs to be tagged. You will need to contact the countywide sheep project leader to make arrangements for tagging.

Each family in the Kenosha County 4-H Sheep Project must provide a sponsor no later than the May lamb weigh-in. The sponsorship dollar amount will be determined by the sheep education team. Members will be notified of any further requirements or
changes.

Any project members in 3rd grade and above may show breeding stock. Only members 4th grade and up may show or sell market lambs.
