4-H Fishing Project

Project Information:

This project provides youths in third grade and above with the chance to explore the world of fishing. Engaging educational meetings vary from year to year based on the needs of the group. Examples of such could be, but are not limited to: tying fishing knots, understanding rods and reels, water/ice safety, and embracing ethical angling practices. Fishing outings will be offered during the winter and spring months, providing hands-on experiences in locating fish, identifying various baits and species, and casting.

Important Note: To maintain good standing as a member of the fishing project, both participants and a parent must attend two county-wide meetings/outings. The project has a participation fee of $15 per child payable to the Educational Team by January 31st.
